Porcelain is a specific form of ceramic.

Working with porcelain requires a broad range of knowledge and experience. Porcelain is composed out of kaolin – an unruly white clay – mixed with quartz and feldspar. This mixture is baked at an extremely high temperature. This is what makes the porcelain hard and gives it a clear sound. Molds are used to shape the porcelain, which is then left to dry. After that, European porcelain is baked twice. The first time at 900 ° C, after which the glaze is applied. Then, smooth baking is done at approximately 1400 °C. Porcelain is odorless and tasteless and hardly discolours, even if it is, for example, left in a shipwreck at the bottom of the sea for a few centuries. Vitae Memoriam uses ceramic powders to print your photo. Your photo will be baked in the glaze layer at 890 °. Vitae Memoriam guarantees  a high quality, colour fast product. The colours of the photo or the quality of the product will not change under the influence of sunlight, daylight, humidity, temperature or other atmospheric fluctuations.
